Terms of Service

The rules for using Tovi, in plain English. Same tone as a note between parents.

The short version

Here's the whole thing in five bullets:

  • •Tovi is for grown-ups. You need to be 18+ to create an account. The app is for parents and caregivers, not children.
  • •You're the parent, we're the guide. You're always responsible for your child's safety during any activity we suggest.
  • •Use it for your family. Our activity content is for your personal, non-commercial use. Please don't scrape, resell, or repackage it.
  • •Cancel anytime. If we introduce paid plans (Tovi+), you can cancel with one tap. No guilt trips.
  • •We'll tell you about changes. If we change these terms in a meaningful way, we'll email you first.

Agreeing to these terms

By creating a Tovi account or using the Tovi app or website, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don't agree, please don't use Tovi — no hard feelings.

These terms form a binding agreement between you and Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC (“Tovi”, “we”, “us”), based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

What Tovi is

Tovi is a daily activity app for parents and caregivers of children aged 0–5. Every day, we suggest age-appropriate activities, songs, and learning moments you can do with your child using things you already have at home.

Tovi is a guide, not a curriculum. We're a tool to help you spend meaningful time with your kid — not a replacement for your judgment, your paediatrician, or a qualified early-childhood professional.

Who can use Tovi

You must be 18 or older

Tovi accounts are for adults only. By signing up, you confirm you are at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement where you live.

Tovi is for parents and caregivers, not children

Tovi is designed to be used by an adult for a child — not by the child directly. There are no child-facing accounts, screens, or features. Please don't hand your device to your child to interact with the app.

Children's privacy (COPPA)

Tovi does not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13. Any information about a child is provided by the parent or caregiver on the child's behalf, and is limited to first name and age in months. For full detail, see our Privacy Policy.

Your account

You sign in with a magic link sent to your email. No passwords. That keeps things simpler, but it also means:

  • •Keep your email secure. Anyone with access to your inbox can sign in to your Tovi account.
  • •You're responsible for activity on your account. If something looks wrong, email us and we'll help you sort it out.
  • •One account per family is the norm. You can add multiple children to a single account.
  • •You can delete your account anytime from Settings, or by emailing [email protected].

Acceptable use

Use Tovi the way a reasonable parent would. That means please don't:

  • •Scrape, crawl, or bulk-download content from the app or website.
  • •Resell, sublicense, or redistribute Tovi's activities, songs, or content.
  • •Reverse-engineer the app, probe it for vulnerabilities, or interfere with other users.
  • •Use Tovi to train a competing AI model or build a derivative product.
  • •Impersonate anyone else, or misrepresent your relationship to a child.
  • •Use Tovi to do anything illegal, harmful, or abusive.

If you're an educator, childminder, or running any kind of group programme and you'd like to use Tovi with children who aren't yours, please email us. We'd love to talk rather than have you guess whether it's allowed.

Who owns what

Our content

Every activity, song, prompt, illustration, and piece of copy in Tovi is owned by Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use it with your own family. That's it — no commercial use, no redistribution, no training AI models on our content.

Your content

Anything you add to Tovi (your name, your child's first name, your notes, your preferences) belongs to you. You grant us the minimum licence we need to run the service for you — store it on our servers, show it back to you, personalise your experience. We don't claim ownership of anything you provide.

Feedback

If you send us suggestions, ideas, or feedback, we may use them to improve Tovi without owing you anything. We'll still be grateful — we just can't promise credit or compensation.

Paid plans (Tovi+)

Tovi is free to start. In the future we'll offer an optional paid plan called Tovi+. If and when you subscribe, these terms apply:

  • •Billing. Plans are billed monthly or yearly, in advance, via a payment processor (Stripe or similar). Prices are shown at checkout in your local currency where possible.
  • •Automatic renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel.
  • •Cancellation. You can cancel anytime from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you've already paid for — you won't lose access the moment you cancel.
  • •Refunds. We don't offer refunds for partial periods (e.g. if you cancel mid-month). If something has gone genuinely wrong — you were charged in error, the service was unavailable for an extended period — email us and we'll make it right.
  • •Price changes. If we change the price of a plan you're on, we'll email you at least 30 days before the new price applies. You can cancel before it takes effect.
  • •Taxes. Prices may not include VAT or other applicable taxes, which will be added at checkout where required.

The “as is” bit

We work hard to make Tovi reliable, helpful, and safe. But we have to say this clearly: Tovi is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied.

We don't guarantee that Tovi will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any specific activity will produce a particular developmental outcome. Every child is different, and we're a suggestion engine, not a promise engine.

Safety and liability

You supervise your child. Always.

Our activities are designed to be simple and safe, but you are responsible for supervising your child and assessing whether any given activity is appropriate for them. You know your child, their allergies, their abilities, and your home environment better than we ever could. Check materials, watch for choking hazards, and use your judgment.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tovi and Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service, including injuries or outcomes related to activities you choose to do with your child. Our total liability for any claim under these terms is limited to the amount you've paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose (or USD 50, whichever is greater).

Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited under applicable law.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Tovi and Drumworks Ventures FZ LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of someone else's rights. In plain English: if you break the rules and it creates a problem for us, we're not on the hook for your mistake.

Ending things

You can close your account anytime from Settings. That deletes your data from our servers — see our Privacy Policy for detail.

We can suspend or end your access if you seriously breach these terms (for example, scraping content or using Tovi to harm others). We'll try to warn you first where it's practical.

If we ever shut Tovi down entirely, we'll give you advance notice and a way to export your data.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of Dubai, UAE, unless mandatory local consumer-protection laws in your country give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.

Changes to these terms

If we make meaningful changes to these terms, we'll email you and post a notice on the site before the changes take effect. Minor edits (typos, clarifications that don't change meaning) may happen without notice. Continuing to use Tovi after changes take effect means you accept the new terms.
